Snagajob to Work with LinkedIn to Help Develop the Hourly Workforce
Collaboration to Focus on Producing Market Research and Job Seeker Resources
Today we are announcing a partnership with LinkedIn, the world’s largest professional network on the Internet, that will provide insight into the hourly market and career development resources for hourly job seekers. The new relationship will leverage each company’s respective industry leadership, expertise and immense data platform.
The collaboration will initially be centered around joint research that will aim to provide deeper insight into workforce and career trends. The goal of this research will be to provide valuable career resources to job seekers and to help policymakers and business leaders better understand the hourly market to create more job opportunities. Later this year, the collaboration will also include unique product integrations and market development opportunities between the two companies.
LinkedIn will offer a special one-month trial to Lynda.com, LinkedIn’s online learning company, to all of our members. As part of this free trial, our members will receive unlimited access to Lynda.com’s vast resource library covering topics such as communication, customer service, management skills, and thousands of other courses which can be leveraged to help hourly workers acquire new skills to reach their professional goals.
“With unemployment at a new low, voluntary employee turnover increasing and the rise of the ‘gig economy,’ it is clear that the current employment market is entering a period of profound change” said Peter Harrison, CEO of Snagajob. “More research and analysis on these trends helps us identify the appropriate resources and tools the hourly job seeker needs to increase their growth potential and maximize their income. LinkedIn is the perfect collaborator for us on this project as they share our mission of helping people find work and live more fulfilling lives. The opportunities for this partnership are endless.”
“There’s a strong alignment between LinkedIn and Snagajob’s respective missions,” said Scott Roberts, vice president of business development at LinkedIn. “Thus, we’re excited to be working with Snagajob to help our members and job seekers become more productive and successful.”
